Job summary

Lazer Logistics is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the Field Operations team at a customer site in Missouri. The role partners with the Site Manager to ensure safe, efficient yard operations, oversee equipment checks, safety compliance, and maintenance escalation, and develop people to deliver high-quality service.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, team-oriented and capable of sustaining service standards while fostering talent and collaboration across the team.

Responsibilities

• Support Site Manager in monitoring performance metrics and driving process improvements.
• Inspect equipment and communicate repairs to ensure safe, reliable operations.
• Drive a minimum of 30 hours per week and supervise frontline execution.
• Assist in training, recruitment, and mentoring of drivers and site staff.
• Attend customer meetings with Site Manager and maintain positive client relationships.

Job Description

Operational Excellence

Support the Site Manager in monitoring performance metrics, identifying process improvements, and assisting with issue resolution that impacts service levels.

Assist in equipment inspections to ensure good working conditions and communicate repair needs to the Site Manager for vendor coordination.

Drive a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Monitor employee adherence to safety standards and report maintenance issues to the Site Manager.

People Development

Assist in training and managing drivers and site-level staff.

Assist in recruitment, hiring, team building, and mentoring of drivers and site-level staff. Customer & Vendor Relations Attend customer meetings alongside the Site Manager and help maintain positive customer relationships.

Ensure that all employees provide the highest level of service.

Team Leadership
