Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to gain hands-on experience in one of our Auto Service centers in Pooler, GA. You will connect with guests, deliver outstanding service, and help manage the service department's workflow to ensure quality work on time.

Ideal candidates have prior automotive service department experience, a valid driver’s license, and are legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Minimum 1 year of automotive service department experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Drive and reach sales goals through guest interactions including tire and service sales.
• Build guest relationships and ensure guest satisfaction through liaison between technicians and guests.
• Effectively manage the service department as needed.
• Contribute to training and development of service department associates.
• Articulate all warranties, promotions, and advertisements.
• Utilize tools provided to make recommendations to guests based on manufacturing guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work and guest area.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, including lifting tires and wheels.

General Description

As an Assistant Service Manager, you will gain hands‑on experience in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers by making meaningful connections with guests while delivering outstanding service. You will also become familiar with managing the service department effectively by scheduling associates, service appointments and organizing work flow to deliver quality work on time to guest. • Build guest relationships and ensure guest satisfaction through being the liaison between technicians and guests
• Effectively manage the service department as needed
• Contribute to training and development of service department associates

• Utilize tools provided to make recommendations to guests based on manufacturing guidelines
• Maintain a clean and safe work and guest area
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 1 Year Of Previous Automotive Service Department Experience

Valid driver's license

Must be at least 18 years of age

• No relocation is being offered for this position
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous management experience
• Previous automotive service sales experience

• Depending on location, our stores may be open 7 days a week, which may include weekends and some holidays
• Ability to follow established safety policies and procedures
