Job summary

Holman Enterprises, a family-owned global automotive services organization, seeks an Assistant Service Manager for Audi San Diego. You will assist the service manager in operations, staffing, warranty, and records while driving service quality and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in dealership service with 1–2 years in leadership, strong knowledge of RO flow, CSI, and experience with CDK/DMS. Audi brand experience is highly preferred. [e-mail]

• Strong understanding of fixed operations: labor sales, productivity, warranty, and customer-pay work.

• Oversee and ensure highest level of customer service in the shop.
• Assist service manager in staffing, vehicle services, warranty administration, and records.
• Serve as liaison between Shop Foreman, Service Advisors, Parts, Technicians and Warranty Administration.
• Drive employee and customer satisfaction and ROI through direction and oversight.
• Promote recruitment and development of Service staff (Advisors, Porters, Assistants, Valets, Loaner Coordinators).
• Coordinate with manufacturer and factory representatives to achieve objectives.

Audi San Diego has an opportunity for an Assistant Service Manager to join the Holman family.

We offer competitive compensation that is commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, in the range of $125,000 - $155,000 USD Annually

What will you do?

• Offers and ensures that the shop offers the highest level of customer service
• Assists the service manager in managing all aspects of service department operations: staffing, provision of vehicle services, warranty administration, client retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of all service records
• Serves as a liaison between the Shop Foreman, Service Advisors, Parts Personnel, Technicians and Warranty Administration
• Through communication, oversight and direction works to ensure employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction and return on investment
• Promotes the recruitment and development of some or all: Service Advisors, Service Porters, Service Assistants, Valet Drivers, Loaner Coordinators
• Liaison with the manufacturer; works with factory representative to achieve factory objectives
• Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

What are we looking for

• 3+ years of automotive dealership service experience, with at least 1–2 years in a service leadership/management role
• Experience as an Assistant Service Manager, Service Manager, Service Director, or Shop/Service Operations Manager
• Strong understanding of fixed operations, including labor sales, technician productivity, repair orders, warranty, customer-pay and internal work
• Proven experience managing Service Advisors and/or Technicians
• Experience monitoring and improving CSI
• Strong understanding of repair order flow, appointment scheduling, dispatching, and shop capacity
• Experience managing Open-to-Book (OTB), cycle time, productivity, and efficiency
• Experience with CDK or a comparable DMS
• Preferred Audi brand experience
• Audi training or certification
• Experience with Audi Warranty, parts/service operations, and manufacturer programs
• Experience leading process improvements that increased CSI, technician productivity, and/or departmental profitability

Pay: We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $72,950.00 - $103,955.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay and bonus earnings.
