Job summary

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Charlottesville, VA, seeks an Assistant Scientist to advance the ODS data-exchange framework and coordinate testing across NRAO sites and partners. Qualifications

• PhD in astronomy, physics, mathematics, electrical/computer science engineering or related fields.
• Experience collaborating with large scientific or engineering teams.
• Experience leading medium to large research projects with results.
• Experience measuring/interpreting large RF datasets.

Responsibilities

• Capture and maintain top level project requirements for ODS integration.
• Develop and execute new software features with the ODS team.
• Support testing and evaluation of ODS across NRAO sites and partners.
• Develop Python analysis scripts and schedule telescope test time.
