Job summary

The University of Central Florida invites applications for a 12-month, non-tenure earning position to conduct research in CREOL at the Orlando campus. The anticipated start date is late Fall 2026 to Spring 2027.

The candidate will contribute to integrated photonic systems and supervise graduate students. Applicants should have a PhD and at least two years of relevant experience, with strengths in optics, photonics, and device fabrication or DSP.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in optics/photons or related field.
• Two years of experience in the field.
• Ability to conduct independent research and supervise graduate students.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in integrated photonic systems for communications and sensing.
• Model, design and characterize photonic devices and subsystems.
• Supervise graduate students and contribute to publications.
