Job summary

ARCCO Enterprises is seeking an Assistant Salon Leader for SmartStyle inside Walmart in Edgewood, NM. You will work as a stylist and act as the Salon Leader’s right hand, ensuring smooth salon operation and guest experiences.

Responsibilities include leading the team during absences, performing cuts/colors, opening/closing, and coaching staff. Availability for evenings and weekends is required; 2+ years of full-time experience and an NM cosmetology license are essential.

• New Mexico cosmetology or barber license is required.
• 2+ years of full-time salon experience.
• Evenings and weekends availability required.

TITLE: Assistant Salon Leader

Pay: $12.50/hour guaranteed, or commission if higher, plus tips

Location: SmartStyle Hair Salon, 66 State Rd 344, Edgewood, NM 87015 (inside Walmart)

Schedule: Full-time. Evenings and weekends required.

As Assistant Salon Leader, you're a working stylist and the Salon Leader's right hand. You keep the salon running smoothly, help your team grow, and make sure every guest has a great experience.

How you get paid

• Commission from day one, plus tips, on our leadership commission plan (higher than the stylist plan)
• Guaranteed $12.50/hour if your commission comes in lower

What you'll do

What you need

• A current New Mexico cosmetology or barber license

Physical requirements

• Good close and color vision to assess hair
• Standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive movements; occasionally lifting 10 to 25 lbs
• Comfortable working around hair chemicals and fragrances
