Splendido in Oro Valley, Arizona is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to partner with the Restaurant Manager to oversee daily dining operations, develop team members, and ensure residents and guests enjoy a welcoming experience.

You’ll manage reservations and service flow, respond to feedback, support special events, and help maintain Splendido’s high standards of dining and hospitality. This is a full-time hourly role.

• Progressive experience in an upscale restaurant and/or Life Plan community.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and make independent decisions.
• Proficient in Windows applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Knowledgeable in Point-of-Sale systems.
• Knowledgeable in job related federal, state, and local regulations to ensure safe and clean dining environment.
• Certification in food safety/sanitation and BASSET.

As our Assistant Restaurant Manager, you'll work closely with the Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, support and develop team members, and ensure residents and guests enjoy a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience.

From managing reservations and coordinating service flow to responding to resident feedback and supporting special events, you’ll play an important role in keeping restaurant operations running smoothly.

This is a full-time, hourly position where you'll have the opportunity to lead by example, support a strong team, and help deliver the high standards of dining and hospitality that make Splendido special.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Collaborates with Restaurant Manager in the timely selection, orientation, scheduling and on-going trainingand performance management of restaurant team members.
• Manages reservation system, assigns server sections at all meal periods that require reservations.
• Ensures the even flow of guests into the restaurant, to provide a positive resident and guest experience and a quality food product.
• Supervises the flow of service to ensure that residents, guests, family members, and staff receive quality dining service.
• Inspects workstations for completion of assigned side work.
• Responds to resident feedback addressing concerns in a timely, professional manner.
• Maintains timely and professional communication with the Restaurant Manager, Director of Food & Beverage and the Executive Chef and shares all food comments and suggestions with the Executive Chef.
• Works with restaurant management to help ensure budgetary compliance.
• Responsible, along with the other members of the restaurant supervisory team, to manage and maintain the equipment necessary to successfully operate the restaurants at or above Mather service standards.
• Coordinates and executes theme meals and/or functions and related billing processes and provides accurate and timely information to the Restaurant Manager so that billing for events/functions can occur and resident satisfaction is ensured.
• Identifies areas for improvement, proposes possible solutions, and participates in data collection and process changes as part of the Quality Assurance Process Improvement process.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Progressive experience in an upscale restaurant and/or Life Plan community.

Preferred:

• College degree in culinary or hospitality management.
• Knowledgeable in Online ordering, Online Reservations.
