Spring Arbor Leesburg is hiring an Assistant Resident Care Director (ARCD) / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead a caring team in a community with 71 assisted living beds and 20 memory care beds.

The role emphasizes leadership, Med Tech and scheduling experience, resident assessments, care planning, and ensuring compliance, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• RN/LPN or higher required.
• Experience or training in a senior living, assisted living, healthcare, or resident care setting preferred.
• Prior management or supervisory experience in a similar work environment preferred.
• General understanding of and concern for the needs of seniors, including residents with Alzheimer’s disease or memory impairment.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with residents, families, coworkers, providers, and leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic health records, CRM systems, and other job-related technology preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age; state-specific requirements may apply.
• Must have a satisfactory criminal background screening and meet applicable health, tuberculosis, and drug-free workplace requirements.
• If assigned driving responsibilities, must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in accordance with Company standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resident assessments, care planning, admissions, orientation, clinical documentation, and required screenings.
• Audit Medication Administration Records, electronic health records, medication carts, and related resident care documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with processing and documenting physician orders and coordinating services with families, providers, physicians, pharmacies, and community team members.
• Support safe resident care by assisting with activities of daily living, medication-related processes, treatments, emergency call response, and resident rights compliance.
• Assist the Executive Director and Resident Care Director with maintaining compliance with applicable state regulations and Allegro Living policies and procedures.
• Provide direction and support to Resident Assistants and Medication Technicians, including assistance with recruiting, interviewing, orientation, training, scheduling, and performance support.
• Participate in care plan meetings, ROSE program meetings, required training, Manager on Duty responsibilities, and the on-call rotation, as needed.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, visitors, vendors, coworkers, and leadership while maintaining confidentiality and a service-oriented approach.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and assist coworkers as needed.

We’re looking for a nursing leader who brings Med Tech and scheduling experience and is ready to work closely with our team to support excellent resident care. You’ll have the chance to get to know the people who call Spring Arbor home while helping team members feel prepared and supported in their work.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional weekends and participation in the Manager on Duty weekend rotation.

The Assistant Resident Care Director supports the Resident Care Director in coordinating and overseeing resident care services in Allegro Living communities. This role assists with resident assessments, care planning, medication management, clinical documentation, staff supervision, scheduling, and training while promoting compliance with Company policies and applicable state regulations.

The ARCD collaborates with residents, families, physicians, pharmacies, and other providers to support safe, individualized, high-quality care. Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, Manager on Duty shifts, and on-call responsibilities, as needed.
• Some local travel may be required.
• Work is primarily indoors in a senior living community environment with regular resident, family, and team member interaction.
• Must be able to move throughout the community, respond promptly to resident needs, and follow applicable safety rules and procedures.
• Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull, carry, and transfer up to 50 pounds independently and assist residents with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and activities of daily living using proper body mechanics and equipment, when appropriate.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
• Role may require exposure to safety risks, including bloodborne pathogens, airborne pathogens, bodily fluids, and hazardous chemicals; knowledge and use of universal precautions is required.
