Job summary

ProFarm in Davis, California, is seeking an Assistant Research Scientist to join our bioprocessing and formulation team. This role offers hands-on experience in fermentation, formulation, aseptic techniques, instrumentation, analyses and data processing, supporting scientists from bench to pilot scale.

The successful candidate will perform general housekeeping and maintenance in the fermentation and formulation labs and may assist with downstream processing as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. in biological science or engineering is required.
• Ability to work flexible hours is preferred.

• Clean and organize work areas and equipment
• Store supplies and distribute a variety of items throughout the lab
• Maintain inventory of raw materials and supplies

Summary

ProFarm is seeking an Assistant Research Scientist to join our bioprocessing and formulation team. This position offers the opportunity to get hands‑on experience in fermentation, formulation, aseptic techniques, instrumentation, analyses and data processing. This individual will be responsible for performing general housekeeping and maintenance operations in the fermentation and formulation labs, and may perform research experiments depending on ability and availability. There could also be work related to downstream processing, such as centrifugation, tangential flow filtration, etc. A successful candidate will possess the ability to work well independently and perform routine tasks. This position provides support to the scientists working on fermentation and formulation process‑development from bench to pilot scale, as well as the opportunity to participate in the experimental process.
