Position Summary

The Concordia University Wisconsin Ann Arbor Assistant Registrar works to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Registrar's Office by coordinating and administering key academic records, registration, systems and academic processes. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of academic information and records. The Assistant Registrar works collaboratively across departments to implement and maintain effective processes, monitor academic systems and workflows, resolve issues and ensure compliance with institution policies.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Registrar for Academic Records & Systems at Concordia University Wisconsin Ann Arbor include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage processes related to Acadeum course-sharing platform, including consortium agreement administration, maintenance and posting of course offerings and coordination of student registration requests.
  • Oversee academic catalog management, including catalog updates, maintenance and related training for faculty and staff.
  • Responsible for grade posting and end of term processing, including student type updates and academic standing processes.
  • Coordinate the setup, monitoring and processing of Enrollment Agreement alerts and student drops.
  • Develop and distribute timely email communications to students and faculty regarding academic deadlines, processes, requirements and policy and procedural changes.
  • Comply with all procedures, guidelines and laws/regulations, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destructions, FERPA and confidentiality.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Familiarity with Banner or other integrated administrative database.
  • Ability to learn new software systems, to pull information out of the systems, and to train others in the use of new technology.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and oral.
  • Able to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Commitment to Lutheran higher education.

Physical Demands/Equipment
Education & Experience

A bachelor's degree is required, with at least two years of experience in higher education highly recommended.

This is a full-time, exempt (salary) position. The starting wage is dependent upon individual qualifications and experience. Concordia University benefit options include, but are not limited to the following:
