Job summary

State of Florida, Office of Criminal Conflict & Civil Regional Counsel, First Region, seeks a full-time Assistant Regional Counsel in its Marianna office to handle dependency and civil cases. The successful candidate will be admitted to the Florida Bar and have at least three years of legal experience, preferably in civil dependency matters.

Responsibilities include appearing in hearings and managing multiple dockets across Holmes, Jackson, Calhoun and Washington counties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of legal experience, preferably in civil dependency and termination of parental rights cases.
• Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
• Ability to represent clients in court hearings and manage multiple dockets across counties.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in hearings and court proceedings in Holmes, Jackson, Calhoun, and Washington counties.
• Manage and litigate civil and dependency matters as assigned by First Region office.
• Ensure compliance with Florida Bar rules and state ethical standards.
