Job Overview

Seeking an Assistant Quality Operations Manager with Automotive Containment experience in a warehouse environment for our role at Subaru of Indiana in Lafayette, IN. No relocation is available – Local candidates only. Your operations leadership skills are needed to direct 150+ Quality Inspectors in establishing priorities and approval of work instructions. Strong Automotive Quality vocabulary with a sense of urgency in troubleshooting and problem solving is needed. Professional correspondence with outstanding communications is a “must have” skill.

Duties:

• Confirm Initial Job Set Up has complete work instructions, and hand tools allocations.
• Redistribute workforce schedule due to complex priorities.
• Lead problem solving investigations with immediate countermeasures.
• Validate effectiveness via Internal Audits to complete problem resolution.
• Create monthly Quality KPI presentations with MS Office PowerPoint and advanced Excel.
• Approve & maintain quality documentation records.

Qualifications:

• Local candidates only – No relocation assistance provided.
• 3 – 5 years Operations Supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment
• 3+ years Quality Technician background in Work Instructions, Quality Control Plans, and Containment activities.
• HS Diploma is required – Quality Certification a plus
• Advanced MS Office skills are required
