Job summary

The Monroe County Public Defender's Office is actively seeking compassionate & committed individuals to join as Assistant Public Defender, serving the public interest by ensuring access to justice for impecunious individuals.

You will report to the Chief Public Defender and defend indigent clients across District Justice Court, Court of Common Pleas, appellate courts, and Juvenile Court within Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Represent and defend indigent clients in District Justice Court, Court of Common Pleas, state Superior and Supreme Courts, and Juvenile Court in Pennsylvania.
• Report to the Chief Public Defender and collaborate with a dedicated team to safeguard clients' rights.
• Provide zealous advocacy in the public interest to ensure access to justice for impecunious individuals.
