Assistant Personal Training Manager – Club4Fitness (Slidell, LA 70458)

Overview
A Club4Fitness Assistant Personal Training Manager supports the Personal Training Manager (PTM) by mentoring new and existing personal trainers, covering for the PTM when unavailable, and demonstrating full competency in all aspects of the trainer role.
Responsibilities
- Assist the PTM by walking new personal training staff through onboarding activities during the first 30 days of employment.
- Help other personal trainers develop a working knowledge of Peak/ABC (or other membership sales systems used at the club).
- Coach personal trainers on effective client consultations; shadow trained trainers to evaluate their proficiency.
- Assist the PTM in instilling fundamental skills related to appointment setting, fitness consultations, and overall prospecting within the department.
- Enforce personal training and C4F policies and procedures, emphasizing cancel/freeze policies.
- Conduct session quality reviews of existing staff.
- Provide training on Trainerize and assist new trainers in learning the system.
- Support social media responsibilities as directed by the PTM.
- Help fill trainer schedules with clients.
- Teach staff to complete monthly trainer business plans and daily/weekly reporting.
- Perform “Floor Hours Activities” (10–15 hours per week) and complete a minimum of 20 consultations per month.
- Act as right‑hand support to the PTM in driving revenue through personal training package sales.
- Maintain a regular personal training schedule while supporting the PTM, including:
- Deliver fast‑paced, pre‑designed workouts to medium and large client groups.
- Lead and motivate clients during intense training sessions.
- Build and maintain a highly engaged member participation base.
- Practice a lifestyle that mirrors client goals.
- Ensure participant safety and modify exercises as needed.
- Attend weekly and monthly fitness meetings; assist in preparing and presenting topics.
- Handle member concerns when the PTM is unavailable.
- Maintain member engagement through social media and promote the brand.
- Be prepared to learn the full scope of the Personal Training Manager role over time.
- Serve as a fitness leader in the community.
Qualifications
- Certified Personal Trainer with prior experience mentoring other trainers.
- Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics, including training pregnant women, recovering members, and providing alternatives for various fitness levels.
- Ability to pass a Strength and Conditioning Assessment.
- Detail‑ and results‑oriented, with strong professionalism, organization, and multi‑tasking skills.
- Positive, motivating interpersonal communication.
- Capacity to train all fitness levels.
- High level of social media presence and engagement.
- CPR/AED certification.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, including an outgoing personality and energetic motivation.
- Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within teams.
Minimum Certifications / Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required; 2‑ or 4‑year degree in exercise science or related field preferred.
- Current fitness certification from an approved provider (ACSM, ACE, NASM, NCSA, AFFA, NFPT, NCCA Certified).
- Current CPR/AED certification.

Hours
Work schedule includes early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and occasional extended hours for events, launches, and club openings. Flexibility to meet client availability is essential.
Reporting
The position reports directly to the Personal Training Manager assigned to the specific Club4Fitness facility.
