St. John’s University seeks an Assistant Provost for Academic Planning to lead budget planning, financial management, and investment analysis across colleges and units.

The role requires strategic collaboration with Deans, senior academic leaders, and campus offices to align resources with mission and program goals. You will oversee endowments, restricted funds, and capital planning, while guiding program investments, accreditation considerations, and pre-award grants planning to strengthen

Qualificações

• The position requires a Master’s degree in higher education administration, finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in academic budget planning and finance.
• Experience advising Deans or senior academic leaders and supervising analytical staff.

Responsabilidades

• Lead operating budget development for assigned schools and units, incl. revenue/expenditure planning and staffing assumptions.
• Develop multi-year projections and review budget-to-actual performance with variance analysis.
• Advise Deans on budget decisions, endowments, and capital planning with alignment to institutional priorities.
• Oversee grants planning, salary planning, and resource allocation within portfolio parameters.
