Job summary

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support daily operations at Lowry Apartments in the Denver Metro area. Reporting to the Property Manager, you will help ensure rent postings, certifications, and filings are accurate and timely, while maintaining excellent resident relations and service.

You will assist in supervising staff, manage vendor relationships, prepare reports, and promote a safe, inclusive environment across properties in Colorado.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Two years’ experience in affordable housing preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a real‑estate–related field strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Section 42 Tax Credit, Section 8 Programs, and Equal Housing Opportunity laws preferred.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely entries in property management software, including posting rent, processing applications, certifications, purchase orders, and invoicing.
  • Complete all certifications on time and maintain physical and electronic files according to RPMC policy.
  • Adhere to Fair Housing, landlord laws, HOME, Section 42 Tax Credit, and HUD Section 8 program compliance.
  • Assist in supervising site personnel—interviewing, hiring, training, and enforcing company policies.
  • Maintain office and common-area supplies and manage vendor relationships.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports for management.
  • Conduct and track health and safety inspections to detect violations of housing quality standards.
  • Monitor and document security events, maintenance issues, and resident behavior.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive resident relations.
  • Distribute notices to residents as required.
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive work environment that fosters teamwork.
  • Collaborate with supportive services and other CCH departments.
  • Assist at other properties as required.
  • Act as Property Manager in case of vacancy, absence, or vacation.
  • Complete all assigned training on time and perform other duties as assigned.

About the Role
