Job summary

You will assist the Property Manager in resident service, rent collection, notices, and lease administration while contributing to marketing and occupancy efforts.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months to 2 years in hospitality, office management or administrative work preferred.
  • Yardi and Microsoft Office experience helpful; training may be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Property Manager in delivering quality service to residents and ensuring efficient property operations.
  • Assist in rent and income collection.
  • Prepare and deliver notices to residents (lease violations, terminations, non-payment or entry).
  • Help market the property to maintain a positive community image and maximize occupancy.
  • Coordinate move-ins/outs and lease renewals; interact with residents to support retention.
  • May perform janitorial tasks and other duties as assigned.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Property Manager works closely with the Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the apartment community and building(s). This position is responsible for providing quality service to residents, supporting the efficient operation of the property, and completing required administrative tasks.

This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on property management experience and develop the skills needed to potentially advance into a Property Manager role. The ideal candidate is someone who is eager to learn, take on additional responsibility, and grow within property management. This position reports to the Property Manager.

Essential Functions
  • Assist the Property Manager by providing high quality of service to residents with efficient operation of the building economically and socially following and enforcing all fair housing, local landlord tenant laws and regulations.
  • Assist in collection of rent and other income.
  • Preparing and delivering notices to residents (i.e. Lease Violation, 30 Day Termination, 10 Day Termination, Non Payment of rent, 24 Hour for Entry, and Abandonment).
  • Works with the Property Manager to effectively market the property to ensure a positive community image of the property.
  • Assist with coordinating all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins and move-outs, and lease renewals. This position will also interact directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention.
  • May perform janitorial tasks in and around the property as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by property manager and/or regional property manager.

  • Proficient with Yardi (will train), Microsoft Office Suite, and other related software.

Education And Experience
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 months to 2 years of hospitality, office management or administrative experience. Professional training may substitute for experience.
