ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Superintendent for a design-build highway project north of Tampa Bay. This onsite, full-time role supports the Project Superintendent and oversees subs, foremen and crews on FDOT work in the Tampa Bay/Central Florida area. Relocation-ready candidates are encouraged to apply.

The position offers a clear path to progression from Assistant Superintendent to Superintendent within a stable, established heavy civil contractor.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years in heavy civil highway construction.
• Experience with FDOT contracts, specs and reporting.
• Current level: Assistant Superintendent, General Foreman or senior Foreman.
• OSHA 10 is a plus; valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Run subcontractors, foremen and crews day to day.
• Back up the Project Superintendent on planning and production.
• Keep daily reports, logs and field documentation current.
• Handle quality control in the field.
• Sit in meetings with the owner and FDOT inspectors.
• Coordinate equipment, material and deliveries.
• Own jobsite safety and toolbox talks.
• Track quantities and daily production.
• Travel between work areas on the project as needed.
