Clune Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Management team in planning, coordinating and completing construction projects. You will help with budgeting, bidding, cost control, client relations and closeout, while maintaining schedules and documentation.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience in commercial interiors, healthcare or mission-critical works, plus a degree in CM/Arch/Eng or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM, Architecture or Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• 2–5 years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare and/or mission-critical projects.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in budgeting, bidding, cost control and closeout.
• Coordinate with project teams, subs and suppliers to maintain schedule.
• Own the RFI and submittal processes and maintain project documentation.
• Participate in meetings and support OACs, site visits and safety practices.
• Develop and manage accurate budgets and bid packages.

The Assistant Project Manager works with the Project Management team on the planning, coordination, and completion of construction projects. The core job duties include assisting in many phases of construction from budgeting, bidding, cost control, client relations, through closeout.

Essential Functions:

• Role model professionally for Interns, Project Engineers, Senior Project Engineers, and new APMs.
• Ownership of the RFI process.
• Ownership of the submittal process.
• Active participation in the creation of accurate and timely budgets and bids.
• Develop knowledge and understanding of project cost controls.
• Ownership of project documentation.
• Actively participate in project meetings and take the lead and document OAC meetings.
• Heavy coordination with superintendent and project manager, including frequent site visits to monitor onsite progress.
• Distribute drawings, sketches, shop drawings, submittals, schedules and punchlists to subcontractor and site superintendent in a timely fashion to maintain the project schedule.
• Ownership of the closeout package process.
• Become proficient in, and utilize, Clune established systems and technology to work efficiently and to the highest standards.
• Be an ambassador for Clune's safety culture and OSHA standards to enforce a safe work environment and attend safety meetings.

Education and Experience:

• Completion of basic budget training.
• Strong computer skills needed.
