Job summary

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support transmission, distribution, and substation construction within the Renewables/Drilling division in Columbus, OH. You will coordinate with project managers and field teams, maintain documentation, and monitor schedules and costs.

The role emphasizes onboarding, compliance, and interface with accounting, safety, and clients. A fast-paced construction environment and strong organization are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Construction Management, or related field)
  • 2–5 years of experience in construction project coordination or administration
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore or similar platforms)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to the metro area.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination
  • Maintain project files, logs, and documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes)
  • Track project schedules, deliverables, and deadlines
  • Assist with contract review and ensure documentation compliance
  • Assist with job cost tracking, purchase orders, and invoice processing
  • Support change order preparation and tracking
  • Help monitor budgets and forecast updates
  • Coordinate with accounting to ensure accurate cost coding
  • Coordinate onboarding documentation and compliance requirements for field staff
  • Track equipment and material deliveries
  • Support project closeout documentation and final reporting
  • Attend project meetings and distribute summaries
  • Act as a liaison between operations, accounting, safety, and clients
  • Support weekly and monthly reporting processes
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication across project stakeholders

About this Role

PAR Electrical Contractors LLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our transmission, distribution, and substation construction projects within our Renewables/Drilling division. This role serves as a key link between project management, field operations, accounting, and clients to ensure projects run eƯiciently from initiation through closeout.

The Assistant Project Manager provides administrative and operational support to Project Managers and field leadership while maintaining accurate documentation, tracking financial and contractual data, and ensuring compliance with company and client requirements. What You'll Do
Project Administration & Documentation
  • Support Project Managers with day‑to‑day project coordination

  • Maintain project files, logs, and documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes)

  • Track project schedules, deliverables, and deadlines

  • Assist with contract review and ensure documentation compliance

Financial & Cost Support
  • Assist with job cost tracking, purchase orders, and invoice processing

  • Support change order preparation and tracking

  • Help monitor budgets and forecast updates

  • Coordinate with accounting to ensure accurate cost coding

Field & Operational Support
  • Coordinate onboarding documentation and compliance requirements for field staff

Communication & Coordination
  • Act as a liaison between operations, accounting, safety, and clients

What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Construction Management, or related field)
