Job summary

Alston Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to lead and coordinate project activities on-site in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The role focuses on delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget while upholding client relationships and company standards.

You will review contracts, schedules, and documentation, work with superintendents to manage staff, and prepare progress reports. A degree in Construction Management or Engineering and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• Experience managing construction projects for a general contractor from conception to completion.
• Design-build experience on relevant project types.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead, directs and coordinates the overall management of assigned projects.
• Ensure the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and meets profit goals.
• Create, maintain and monitor a detailed master project schedule with timely reports.
• Lead or participate in responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and site investigations.

Project Travel: On-site | Travel Required Job Summary: Leads, directs and coordinates the overall management of assigned projects. The overall goal of the Assistant Project Manager is to ensure the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and which attains or exceeds profit goals, while promoting and enhancing client relationships and the company’s image. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Will IncludeEnsure the quality completion of projects on time and within the allocated budget. Perform a qualitative review of all contract documents for potential conflicts or interpretation issues to mitigate risk, reviews design documents for compliance to specifications and contract, subcontract documents for scope completeness, and all project plans, scopes, submittals and shop drawings for specification compliance and design/constructability issues. Ensure proper document control and record keeping, submit close-out documents, including as-built drawing. Work with Superintendent to facilitate the project construction process and coordinate staff activities to assure achievement of goals regarding project budget, schedule, safety standards, and quality control/assurance standards. Create, maintain and monitor a detailed master project schedule, incorporating actual task start and finish dates and provide timely and accurate reports to determine if work is in accordance with the requirements of the contract, is on schedule and within budget.
