The Assistant Project Manager I is an early-career role focused on building a foundational understanding of project management processes, systems, and coordination practices through the support of smaller scope, less technically complex projects. Project assignments for this role range from two to three projects at $500k-$5M, to sole ownership of a single $20M, to a team role on contracts up to $60M. This role assists Project Managers and field teams with the planning, scheduling, and administration of electrical projects. Efficiently and accurately coordinates project tasks and activities to ensure execution in alignment with established timelines and budget. Facilitates communication among the project team, tracks progress, prepares reports and supports issue resolution.
Required:
Sedentary: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required remain a stationary position over 75% of the time, constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery which can include a copy machine or printer, frequently communicates with internal and external contacts, and must be able to exchange accurate information. The employee is occasionally required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and handle up to 20 pounds (files or office supplies). Must be able to detect, determine, distinguish, inspect, assess, and adjust focus. Management reserves the right to change this position description at any time according to business needs.
