Job Title: Assistant Project Manager – Electrical Construction

About the Opportunity:
FindTalent is seeking a highly organized and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support electrical construction projects across Texas. Job Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager will play a critical role in assisting the Project Manager and Superintendent with the planning, scheduling, and administration of electrical construction projects. This position will involve coordinating various tasks and project activities, ensuring that all objectives are met efficiently and in alignment with company standards for safety, quality, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support and Coordination:

    • Assist the Project Manager in the development and execution of project schedules, quality control programs, and logistics plans.
    • Help manage project budgets and track costs to ensure projects remain on budget.
    • Participate in risk identification and help develop solutions to mitigate potential delays or cost overruns.
  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Collaborate with the team to develop and enforce site-specific safety programs and quality standards.
    • Ensure all activities are compliant with company policies and regulatory safety standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Assist with the preparation of monthly project status reports and executive summaries.
    • Help document and manage the punch list process, owner training, and O&M manuals.
  • Team and Client Interaction:

    • Participate in project meetings and contribute to the planning and execution of tasks.
    • Coordinate communication with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Risk Management and Problem-Solving:

    • Monitor the project’s progress, identify risks, and assist in problem-solving to keep projects on track.
    • Assist with change order management and ensure proper documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in commercial electrical construction projects.
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in construction management, project coordination, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, Excel) and construction documentation (e.g., AIA Contract Documents).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A solid understanding of safety regulations, project scheduling, cost control, and quality management.
