This is an opportunity to build your career at the center of utility‑scale renewable energy development. As an Assistant Project Manager, Development Services, you’ll support the planning and development of large‑scale renewable energy projects from early‑stage development through project readiness. Working alongside experienced Project Managers, developers, owners, engineers, utilities, and other project stakeholders, you’ll help coordinate development activities, track schedules and deliverables, support permitting and due diligence, and keep projects moving forward. Projects may include utility‑scale solar PV, battery energy storage, wind, and other renewable energy infrastructure across the United States. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their project management career while developing a deeper understanding of renewable energy development and project execution.

What You’ll Do
  • Support Project Managers with the planning and coordination of utility‑scale renewable energy projects from early‑stage development through project readiness.
  • Assist with project schedules, development plans, budgets, deliverables, and key milestones.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, landowners, agencies, utilities, and other project stakeholders to keep development activities on track.
  • Support key areas of renewable energy development, including permitting, site control, site identification, interconnection, due diligence, and environmental review.
  • Track project action items, decisions, risks, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
  • Assist with managing third‑party consultants and vendors, including coordinating scopes of work, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Review project documentation and help identify potential issues, information gaps, and items requiring follow‑up.
  • Participate in project meetings and help maintain clear communication across internal teams, clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare project updates, reports, presentations, and other materials for clients and internal leadership.
  • Help identify project risks, track mitigation efforts, and elevate issues to Project Managers when needed.
  • Coordinate information across multiple disciplines to help ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Support the transition of projects from development into construction readiness.
  • Manage assigned tasks and workstreams across multiple projects while maintaining strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
  • Contribute to the continued development of EPS’s Development Services capabilities, processes, and client relationships.
Who You Are
  • You have a "Do what needs to be done" mindset, taking ownership beyond assigned tasks and stepping in wherever needed to keep projects, teams, and customers supported and moving forward.
  • You have 2+ years of experience in project management, renewable energy, engineering, consulting, infrastructure, or a related field. We are flexible on experience for the right candidate.
  • You have an interest in utility‑scale renewable energy development and want to build your expertise in the industry.
  • You have experience supporting projects, coordinating deliverables, managing schedules, or working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), wind, or other large‑scale energy infrastructure is preferred but not required.
  • You have an interest in learning more about permitting, site control, interconnection, due diligence, environmental review, and other aspects of renewable energy development.
  • You are highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project workstreams.
  • You have strong attention to detail and are comfortable working with project schedules, spreadsheets, budgets, and technical documentation.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can work effectively with clients, consultants, utilities, and other project stakeholders.
  • You are proactive, resourceful, and comfortable following up with others to keep projects moving forward.
  • You can recognize potential issues, exercise sound judgment, and know when to elevate questions or concerns to a Project Manager.
  • You are comfortable learning new project management tools, systems, and processes.
  • Experience working for a consulting, engineering, development services, energy, or professional services organization is preferred.
  • Experience supporting renewable energy development in New Mexico is preferred but not required.
