Job summary

Interstates is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to join our Data Center project team. You will work closely with project leadership, field crews, clients, and trade partners to keep work on schedule, support controls, and contribute to successful project delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree required in related field.
• Experience in construction projects preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and jobsite leadership in managerial functions.
• Support planning, coordination, and execution of work on a Data Center construction project.
• Run project control systems for the benefit of the project team.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate CPM schedules and milestone updates.
• Support Last Planner / White Board crew scheduling and look-ahead planning.
• Track RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and other project communications.
• Act as a project analyst; assess controls and assist leadership in solutions.
• Provide estimating take-offs and support budgeting and change orders.
• Attend client meetings onsite and collaborate with trade contractors and internal teams.
• Prepare information for monthly project reviews.
• Assist in procurement, expediting materials, and coordinating subcontracts.
• Help coordinate documentation and communication related to commissioning, turnover, and closeout.
• Promote the Interstates safety culture daily.

• Able to track and organize projects and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment

• Able to manage details, deadlines, and multiple project activities at once

Education

• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Construction Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management

Compensation

• The base pay range for this position is $70,000-$90,000. Our salary ranges are determined by the experience and education required, and level of responsibility. The range posted for this role represents a range that Interstates, in good faith, believes it is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Pay is determined by job-related skills, training, education, and experience.

Travel

Able to travel to customer sites up to 100% of the time.

What is travel with Interstates?

• You will be expected to relocate anywhere in the US for your project
• You will be on one project from start to finish
• Normal project lifespan is anywhere from 6 months to 3 years
