NorthStar Energy Solutions, a Quanta Services company, seeks an Assistant Project Manager -- Gas Operations in Grand Prairie, TX. The role supports planning, coordination, and execution of gas distribution projects, working with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leadership to ensure safety, on-schedule delivery, and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 0–3 years of construction project coordination experience, preferably in gas distribution.
• Knowledge of gas distribution processes including permitting and Right-of-Way.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed schedules for gas distribution projects.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams during mobilization.
• Support estimators with take-offs, submittals, and proposal preparation.
• Draft and track RFIs and participate in client and internal meetings.
• Maintain project logs, track delays, and progress; prepare status reports.
• Provide administrative support to Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Track equipment, rentals, and procurement for field sites.

Northstar Energy Solutions, a Quanta Services company, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager -- Gas Operations to support the planning, coordination, and execution of gas distribution construction and maintenance projects. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Candidates with experience in gas distribution or utility construction are strongly preferred.

Location: Grand Prairie, TX (with travel to active gas distribution project sites) Schedule: Monday--Friday, with travel and extended hours as project schedules require

What You'll Do

What You Will Do:

Project Scheduling & Coordination

• Assist with development and maintenance of detailed project schedules for gas distribution projects.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams during project mobilization and execution.

Estimating & Documentation

• Support estimators with take-offs, submittals, and proposal preparation.
• Draft, track, and submit Requests for Information (RFIs); participate in client and internal project meetings.

Project Tracking & Reporting

• Maintain logs of project updates, resource delays, and permitting or Right-of-Way progress.
• Prepare regular status reports for leadership and clients highlighting risks, barriers, and progress.

Team & Administrative Support

• Provide direct support to Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure project workflows remain on track.
• Coordinate with administrative staff to complete timesheets, expense reports, invoices, and procurement documentation.

Equipment & Materials Management

• Track project equipment (rentals, breakdowns, relocations) and maintain accurate logs.
• Support procurement and delivery of construction consumables and materials to field sites.

What You'll Bring

- ----------------

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, preferred.
• 0-3 years of experience in construction project coordination, preferably in gas distribution or utility construction.
• General knowledge of gas distribution job site processes, including permitting, Right-of-Way, and crew logistics.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic field and office environment.
• Strong computer proficiency, with experience in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of billing processes, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites, as needed.
