Job summary

Consigli Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support Senior/Project Managers on all project aspects. This role emphasizes document control, RFIs, submittals, subcontractor coordination, design-team communication, project reporting and field representation.

The APM will oversee the Project Engineer, mentor junior staff, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure contracts and insurance are in place before work begins. Travel nationwide is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in construction project management.
• OSHA 10 and OSHA-30 preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Willing to travel nationwide.
• Serve as main contact for Owners, OPMs and design teams.
• Coordinate weekly meetings with subcontractors, design teams and owner representatives to resolve field conflicts.
• Support cost and change management; prepare and present reports.
• Assist in development of estimates and bid proposals for lump sum and GMP projects.
• Oversee/Manage Project Engineer; document control, RFIs, submittals, material delivery, and meeting minutes.
• Mentor and train supporting team members including Project Engineers.
• Maintain relations with subcontractors; monitor submittal and delivery schedules.
• Verify contracts and insurance before commencing work.
• Coordinate with Project Scheduler to update the master schedule.
• Assist Superintendent in resolving issues focusing on quality, cost, schedule; document as necessary.
• Take ownership of the closeout process; complete closeout checklist.
• Manage closeout documentation (as-builts, O&M, warranties, test reports) for submission.
• Manage financial closeout with subcontractors and Owner.
• Punch List: upload and distribute via Procore.
• Assist with coordinating work completion and maintain an item log.
• Conduct field observations and safety walks; document findings.
