Job summary

Edminster Hinshaw Russ & Assoc Inc is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a Project Manager in developing construction drawings for commercial projects and optimizing site use. You will mentor staff and oversee CAD Drafters/Designers while engaging with clients and officials to ensure project success.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of related experience, a Texas P.E. designation, and a engineering degree with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

4+ years of related experience.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in the state of Texas.
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Engineering or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid TX Driver’s License.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid working knowledge of Civil 3D/AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Manage projects and plan development for multi-family, commercial/retail, industrial, and other types of projects.
Develop concepts and participate in design analyses, evaluating engineering options.
Attend client meetings with minimal PM assistance.
Build relationships with clients, community leaders and government officials.
Execute client project requirements to ensure contractual obligations.
Oversee CAD Drafters/Designers and Engineers for quality plan production.
Mentor staff within the project team.
