The Assistant Project Manager supports the successful delivery of large‑scale wastewater treatment plant retrofit and expansion projects, typically valued at over $50 million. Working closely with a Project Manager and a Project Administrator, this role focuses on new construction and involves coordinating documentation, tracking project costs and progress, and helping ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The Assistant Project Manager spends most of their time in an office or jobsite trailer environment, with regular visits to the active construction site for inspections and coordination. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The work centers on large wastewater treatment plant retrofit and expansion projects in South Florida, providing exposure to complex mechanical, piping, pumping, and water/wastewater systems. The culture emphasizes training, mentorship, and professional development, with project managers actively supporting the growth of their team members. Overtime is not typical, but when required it is compensated at an enhanced rate.
