The Opportunity

TCC is looking for an organized, detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team in Grove City, PA. You'll work alongside experienced project managers to keep projects on schedule, well documented and well coordinated, from preconstruction through closeout. We're open to candidates from any construction specialty. What matters most is that you're reliable, know your way around project management software and stay on top of a schedule.

What You'll Do

• Help project managers plan, track and deliver projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Build, update and maintain project schedules, track progress against milestones and flag delays early.
• Manage project information in our project management and scheduling software, and keep it accurate and current.
• Attend in-person project status meetings, take notes, track action items and follow up to make sure they get closed out.
• Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders and subcontract documents.
• Help prepare monthly billings, pay applications and cost reports.
• Track quantities, production and costs against budget.
• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, owners and inspectors.
• Keep project files, logs and correspondence organized and accurate throughout the project.
• Support the project team with whatever else it takes to deliver successful projects.

What We're Looking For

• Construction project experience in any specialty, as an assistant PM, project engineer, project coordinator or in a similar role.
• Strong skills with project management and scheduling software (for example, Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar), and a willingness to learn new systems.
• Proven ability to build, maintain and manage project schedules.
• Comfort attending and taking part in in-person status meetings with internal teams and clients.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
• Ability to read plans, specifications and contract documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• A team-first attitude and a desire to grow with the company.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction project management or project engineering experience.
• Experience with public-sector work (PennDOT or other DOT, municipal, institutional) and/or private-sector projects.
• A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Location and Travel

Based in Grove City, PA. This role requires regular in-person attendance at the office and at project status meetings, plus local travel to project sites as needed.
