Summary
  • An employee at this level should be able to lead the project team on small projects (under $500k in value) with limited risk.
  • This level is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of multiple construction projects simultaneously.
  • Directs and supervises work of project engineers to establish operational priorities and maintain satisfactory relationships with owners, subcontractors, etc.
  • This individual could also be part of a larger project team supporting the team leader on project management duties and responsibilities.
Skills
  • Strong, professional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail and ability to effectively track complicated tasks involving many parties to timely completion
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines
  • Multi-tasking is a must
  • Advanced understanding of preconstruction process, estimating, and buy-out
  • Effective management of client relationships
  • Ability to identify customer's needs intuitively
  • Experience managing 1-2 direct reports
