Job summary

Blythe Development Co. is a licensed general contractor, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, specializing in site work, road construction and golf course projects across NC, SC and VA. The Assistant Project Manager will lead planning and scheduling, resource allocation and project accounting for $2M–$25M site grading projects, with regional travel.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree, ideally Engineering or Construction related.
• Experience with Microsoft Project and office software.
• Ability to travel regionally on construction projects.
• Knowledge of site grading to pavement markings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule projects and allocate resources.
• Oversee project accounting and cost control.
• Provide technical direction and ensure quality standards.
• Handle contract administration and safety management.
• Coordinate site work from clearing to pavement markings.

General Description

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The Assistant Project Manager responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of project management such as: Project Planning and Scheduling(Microsoft Project is a plus), Project Cost Control(Vista or similar software knowledge is a plus), Time Management, Project Specification Quality Control, Contract Administration, and Safety Management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Teams/Tremble Construction One & Vista
• 4-year degree, ideally Engineering or Construction related
• Ability to become a valuable team member for construction projects of a $2M-$25M site grading projects that includes all aspects from clearing to pavement markings
• Able to reliably travel regionally
