Location: Ames, IA

Oline Construction is expanding its presence in Iowa, and we’re seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support commercial construction projects in the Ames area. This role is ideal for someone early in their construction career who wants meaningful field exposure, strong mentorship, and the chance to grow with a rapidly scaling company.

You’ll partner closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to help deliver successful projects while gaining real-world experience in scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation.

🔨 What You’ll Do

• Assist the Project Manager with day‑to‑day project coordination
• Support submittals, RFIs, contracts, and change orders
• Help track project schedules and milestones
• Coordinate communication between field teams, subcontractors, and vendors
• Review plans and specifications alongside senior leadership
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation
• Support cost control, budgeting, and billing processes
• Partner with field leadership to uphold safety, quality, and schedule expectations
• 1–3 years of construction experience (internships included)
• Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred
• Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with field and office teams
• Interest in commercial ground‑up construction
• Willingness to be onsite and learn from experienced leaders
