Job summary

North Suffolk Community Services, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Program Director for the Adult Community Clinical Services program in Boston, MA. You will partner with the Program Director to provide administrative and clinical leadership, supervise staff, and develop recovery-oriented treatment plans.

You will employ evidence-based practices, mentor team members, and work to improve access to public services to support clients’ recovery and community integration.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts designation required under MA law.
• 3+ years in clinical or rehab services for adults with mental health and substance use disorders.
• 1+ year supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision and direction for team members of ACCS.
• Develop and implement safety and crisis plans.
• Engage persons served to support recovery and self-management goals.
• Collaborate on recovery plans and action steps with clients.

Assistant Program Director- Adult Community Clinical Services

Salary Range: $84,000.00 To $94,543.00 Annually

North Suffolk is looking for an Assistant Program Director to join our ACCS team! As the Assistant Program Director, you will work with the Program Director in the administrative and clinical leadership of the team. The Assistant Program Director provides clinical supervision and direction for team members in the Adult Community Clinical Services Program.

What you'll do:

• Work with the team to partner with persons served to engage with them to improve their health and wellness, achieve symptom stabilization and self-management, develop and/or restore skills impacted by mental illness and to live a self directed life.
• Assist people with psychiatric and substance use disorders to identify personal priorities, preferences, strengths, and interests in order to help them establish goals that support a life in recovery.
• Instill hope by engaging in positive interactions that promote recovery and empowerment.
• Collaborate with persons served to help them to identify goals and action steps in order to develop effective treatment/rehabilitation recovery plans.
• Participate in the development and implementation of Safety Plans and Crisis Prevention and Response Plans.
• Use evidence based practices including motivational interviewing.
• Advocate that persons need to make informed choices to further their own recovery.
• Advocate for better access to public services and natural supports for persons in order to facilitate their recovery and full integration into the community.
• Assist the Program Director in the hiring process, orientation, and training for team staff.
• Provide clinical and administrative supervision to the clinical coordinators and clinical supervision of other staff.

What you'll need:

• Education/Licensure:
  • Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) designation that is recognized under Massachusetts law is required. Following degrees meet the criteria: MSW, LCSW, LICSW, LMHC and LMHC eligible degrees, LADC 1, RN, Licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Unlicensed MSW graduates welcome to apply under Pathway program.
• Experience:
  • At least 3 years experience in the provision of clinical or rehabilitative services to adults with chronic and persistent mental health issues and substance use disorders preferred.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of Recovery approaches for the treatment of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness
• Skills:
  • Must have valid Driver's license
  • Must be MAP certified, CPR/first aide certified within five (5) continuous months of employment/date of hire (training provided)
