Job summary

The Department of Supply Chain Management at the University of North Texas invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position. The appointment will begin Fall 2027 and will be based on the UNT Denton campus.

The successful candidate will maintain an active research program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, and contribute to curriculum development and service activities appropriate to rank.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in the fields listed or closely related field.
• Evidence of ability or potential to conduct high-quality scholarly research.
• Evidence of ability or potential to publish in respected peer-reviewed journals.
• Evidence of ability or potential to provide effective university-level instruction.
• ABD will be considered provided all degree requirements are completed before appointment begins.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain a productive, high-quality research program.
• Teach supply chain management and related courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Deliver courses in face-to-face, online, hybrid, or other formats.
• Contribute to departmental curricula and academic programs.
• Mentor undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students.
• Collaborate with faculty on research, teaching, and program initiatives.

Education

Doctoral degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations management, purchasing, transportation, industrial engineering, or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution
