Job summary

California State University, Chico invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in Psychology to teach in the NASP-accredited School Psychology graduate program beginning August 2027.

The ideal candidate will hold a 3-year Master’s or Ed.S. in School Psychology, or a doctorate in psychology or education, and meet California credentialing requirements; strong candidates nearing completion of their terminal degree may be considered.

Qualifications

• Completed 3-year Master’s or Ed.S. in School Psychology as required.
• Doctorate in psychology, education, or a related field may be considered.
• CA credentialing/licensing as School Psychologist or related licensure is required.
• At least three years of professional experience as a School Psychologist in preK-12 settings.
• Experience in undergraduate/graduate instruction or professional development.
• A record or plan for research and scholarly activities.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise School Psychology graduate students.
• Engage in scholarship and seek external funding for research.
• Provide service and advising duties for the School Psychology program.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff in program coordination and leadership.
