  • Developing new experimental procedures and hypotheses for further investigation.
  • Preparing manuscripts and abstracts for publication.
  • Publishing scientific articles in refereed journals, presenting at scientific symposiums.
  • Preparing grant proposals for external funding.
  • Serving as resource person for colleagues and as a mentor for less experienced research personnel.
  • Managing/supervising other research staff or projects and assisting with the management of laboratory operations.
