Salary range: The salary range for this position is $80,800- $104,700. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. Position Description
The Department of Psychology at the University of California, Irvine, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The Department of Psychology seeks to expand its expertise in quantitative, computational, and data science approaches to understanding human behavior and psychological processes. Scholars in this area may develop or apply advanced methods, including machine learning and artificial intelligence, computational modeling, causal inference, epidemiologic methods, advanced statistical modeling, natural language processing, network analysis, and other data science approaches, to address complex psychological questions. Their research may leverage large-scale, population-based, intensive longitudinal, multimodal, or digitally-generated behavioral data, including text, social interaction, smartphones and sensors, administrative and clinical records, cohort and registry data, and other emerging sources of human behavioral data. Scholars’ expertise needs to fit into one of the Department’s existing substantive areas of developmental, health, social, or clinical psychology. Candidates must have a doctoral degree in psychology or a closely related discipline. The position will begin July 1, 2027, with teaching duties beginning Fall Quarter, 2027.
