The successful candidate will lead an independent laboratory in close collaboration with a clinician‑scientist to translate basic science findings into clinical applications. The laboratory receives NIH, SBIR and university funding.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in biology, neuroscience, immunology, bioengineering, or a related scientific discipline plus at least four years of post‑doctoral experience or equivalence.
• Demonstrated human relationships and effective communication skills.
• Experience with flow cytometry, immunohistology, animal breeding (especially transgenic animal maintenance), neurophysiology, and behavioral testing.
• Strong preference for candidates holding a PhD in immunology or peripheral nerve disorders.
• Potential ability to perform essential functions of the job, as outlined in the position description.

Work Environment

Laboratory and office settings, with continuous duty requirements for data analysis and experimental oversight. Physical requirements include sitting, hearing, listening, and talking continuously; occasional repetitive hand motion, walking, and occasional bending and reaching overhead.
