Job summary

University of Pennsylvania seeks an Assistant Professor in Pediatric and Fetal Surgery on the tenure track at CHOP in Philadelphia. Candidates must hold an MD (or MD/PhD) and be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Surgery with special ABS certification in pediatric surgery.

Teaching responsibilities include medical student and resident instruction; clinical duties cover pediatric general thoracic and fetal surgery; research may focus on fetal biology and in utero

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD degree required.
• Board certification by the American Board of Surgery and ABS eligibility in pediatric surgery.
• Strong commitment to teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
• Experience or training in clinical fetal therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach medical students, residents and fellows as part of the department.
• Develop and manage a clinical practice in pediatric general thoracic and fetal surgery.
• Lead or participate in research on fetal biology, in utero gene editing and related areas.
