Job Summary: This is a full time, open rank, Assistant to Associate Professor position in the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at the Briargate Campus and Children\'s Hospital Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs, CO. We are seeking a dynamic, patient-centered, board certified/eligible pulmonologist to be a part of our expanding and dynamic program. Pulmonologist with sleep certification is a plus. We highly value our clinical provider partners and collaborate with our faculty members to have fulfilling careers.

Responsibilities
  • Outpatient clinical care
  • Inpatient, Consult and Outpatient Consultative services, weekend/after-hours call coverage
  • Bronchoscopies, laryngoscopies, pulmonary function tests (PFTs)
Work Location

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of an indeterminate number of days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below.

Minimum Requirements (Assistant Professor)

  • MD/DO
  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics
  • Three years of Pediatric Pulmonology fellowship
  • Must be licensed or able to obtain licensure in the State of Colorado prior to start date

  • MD/DO
  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics
  • Three years of Pediatric Pulmonology fellowship
  • Must be licensed or able to obtain licensure in the State of Colorado prior to start date
  • 5 years\' experience as a pediatric pulmonologist

Condition of Employment:

  • Must successfully pass a drug test through Children\'s Hospital Colorado
  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge appropriate for individuals completing a three-year Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship
  • Pediatric clinical assessment skills
  • Ability to complete pediatric pulmonary diagnostics and therapeutic procedures
  • Strong commitment to teaching and mentoring responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills including both written and verbal
  • Exceptional time-management skills including managing email and other electronic forms of communication
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary group

Anticipated Pay Range:

Assistant Professor: $200,000 – $225,000

Associate Professor: $230,000 – $255,000

The above hiring range represents the University\'s good faith estimate of the range of possible compensation. This position is not eligible for overtime unless non-exempt. Total compensation includes benefits such as leave, health plans, and retirement contributions.
