STATUS: FULL-TIME, EXEMPT, SALARIED

Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applications for the full-time, tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Sport Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teaches courses at the undergraduate level across the sport management curriculum (specifically the sport business aspects)
• Teaches additional business-related courses in areas of qualification and interest.
• Aids in the development of curriculum to expand sport management and sport studies offerings.
• Participates in department-level planning and development activities.
• Develops professional networks, including community and institutional relationships, to form partnerships and enhance internship and experiential learning opportunities for students as well as potential job opportunities.
• Provides academic and career advising of students.
• Provides instruction at the undergraduate level using collaborative, instructional technology, and innovative methods.
• Provides assessment of students and supports College assessment needs.
• Continues expanding knowledge base with continued professional development.
• Provides general service to the College, including college and faculty committee assignments.

Qualifications:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPETENCIES:

• Doctorate in Sport Management (or closely related fields like Sport Studies, Sport Administration/Business, etc.). ABD and Master’s (with experience) considered.
