The Department of Radiology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, affiliated with the USC Keck School of Medicine, is actively searching for a Research Radiologist to join the faculty team as an Assistant Professor of Research Radiology. This full-time position will come with an appropriate faculty appointment based on the candidate's experience.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent, completed fellowship training in Research Radiology, and ABR certification in Diagnostic Radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) eligible or certified in Pediatric Interventional Radiology. The ideal candidate will have a strong record of clinical and educational achievement in Pediatric Interventional Radiology. Research opportunities within and across the institution are encouraged.
CHLA is a 600-bed pediatric hospital affiliated with USC, offering a full spectrum of pediatric subspecialties to serve a large, diverse population in Los Angeles and Southern California.
The Radiology Department at CHLA comprises 16 physicians performing 160,000 imaging studies annually. It has multiple MRI units, including two 1.5 Tesla, two 3 Tesla (with a third being added), a research 3T magnet, and an 11.7T Bruker research magnet. Other imaging modalities such as CT, SPECT, PET, and DEXA are available. The department offers an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Radiology fellowship, a Pediatric Neuroradiology fellowship, and hosts radiology residents from various institutions.
The annual salary range is $150,000 to $200,000, with specific compensation based on experience, qualifications, and other factors considered during the hiring process.
This is a continuing appointment, non-tenure eligible position, with academic rank, and salary commensurate with experience. The role involves patient care, teaching, and research.
