Job summary

The Division of Infectious Diseases and International Health at the University of Virginia seeks a Clinical Investigator to perform research and provide clinical care, with a goal to obtain external funding to support research. Clinical care will include inpatient ID consultations and potentially outpatient clinic and other activities including education.

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent and be sub-specialty board-certified or board-eligible in Infectious Disease by appointment start

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent required; sub-specialty board-certified or board-eligible in Infectious Disease by start date.
• Strong research, clinical, technical and interpersonal skills from top institutions.
• Experience obtaining external research funding is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform infectious diseases clinical care including inpatient ID consultations.
• Potential involvement in outpatient ID clinic and education activities.
• Engage in research with synergy to the Division of Infectious Diseases and International Health.
• Collaborate with colleagues to advance patient care and scholarship.

Description

The Division of Infectious Diseases and International Health at the University of Virginia is seeking a Clinical Investigator. The candidate will be expected to perform research and clinical care.
