Assistant Professor of Finance (9-month, Tenure Track) July 28, 2026

Samford University’s Brock School of Business invites individuals interested in serving in a Christian university environment to apply for an Assistant Professor of Finance faculty position within the Economics, Finance & Quantitative Analysis Department. This tenure track faculty position is a nine-month appointment beginning in August 2027.

Applicants for this position must exhibit strong teaching skills, be committed to maintaining an ongoing research effort, and work effectively and collegially with faculty, students and colleagues. The normal teaching load for faculty is 3 courses per semester, and research is required, commensurate with the teaching load. Summer teaching and competitive research grants are also available. Qualified candidates will hold an earned doctorate from an AACSB and institutionally accredited university in Finance and preferably with teaching experience/interests in a variety of finance courses. ABDs near completion will be considered and hired at the rank of Instructor with commensurate salary. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated skills, abilities, or experience in teaching.
