Wayne State University is searching for an experienced AssistantProfessor of Economics - Macroeconomics at its Detroit campuslocation.

Essential functions (job duties):

The Department of Economics at Wayne State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning on or about August 18, 2027. This is a full-time (9-month), benefits-eligible faculty position.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teachingin macroeconomics and econometrics at both the undergraduate andgraduate levels. The Department offers B.A., M.A., and Ph.D.programs. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment toexcellence in both research and teaching and should contribute tothe academic and professional activities of the department. Theteaching load is 2:2 (fall: winter semesters).

Qualifications:

We seek candidates specializing in macroeconomics with a strongbackground in applied macroeconometrics.

Candidates should have an active research agenda in macroeconomicsand demonstrate strong potential for high-quality research andpublication.

Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in Economics no later thanAugust 17, 2027.
