Qualifications

• Must hold the appropriate terminal degree or meet established alternative qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Teaches students in the classroom, laboratory, and/or studio.
• Prepares content, syllabi, and University Moodle/curricular site for each course and/or lab assigned each semester. Communicates to students after reviewing assignments.
• Calculates and assigns grades (e.g., mid-term and final) through established procedures listed in the Faculty Manual and University catalog.
• Tracks and reports absences as directed by the Office of the Registrar.
• Conducts research to create and add to knowledge in a field or produces creative work. Trains students in related research techniques and in creative production.
• Posts and holds regular office hours each week per College and University guidelines. Engages in University-related activities including committee assignments, meetings, ceremonies, events and scholarly pursuits as prescribed in the Faculty Manual.
• Performs other departmental needs as assigned.
