Job summary

The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences seeks a Campus-based Academic Doctor of Clinical Education (ADCE) on the Dallas, TX campus.

This 5-days-per-week on-campus role oversees the clinical education component of the DPT curriculum, including teaching, advisement, scholarship, and service, with collaboration across USA campuses. The ADCE coordinates clinical education programs, develops faculty, and assesses outcomes to meet accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Post-professional doctoral degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-licensure clinical practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice as SCCE or CI in Physical Therapy or a minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching, curriculum development and administration in a Physical Therapy program.
• Experience with distance learning preferred.
• Experience in scholarly activity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Course management: Prepares and delivers course instruction and assesses student performance.
• Advisement: Advises entry-level students with academic and/or personal issues.
• Scholarship: Sets scholarship plan and implements it per accreditation standards.
• Service: Serves on programmatic and university committees and as university liaison in communities.
• Clinical Education Program Planning, Implementation, and Assessment: Develops/coordinates clinical education and residency outcomes, and ensures accreditation standards compliance.
