Job Responsibilities:

• Teach applied clarinet at all levels and in all degree programs; teach woodwind specific courses, coach chamber music; advise graduate students, recruit promising student musicians; 40%
• Build and maintain a national and international research and creative activity profile as performer and teacher; participate with the woodwind faculty in chamber music; and contribute broadly to the artistic and educational milieu of a major School of Music at a Research I, flagship university. 40%
• Provide service and participate in faculty governance. Other duties as assigned. 20%

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education Level: A doctorate in clarinet performance
• Degree Substitute: A doctorate in clarinet performance or equivalent professional experience
• Specific Experience: Distinguished record as an active performer; demonstrated excellence in and commitment to teaching a broad range of students with skill sets; and commitment to contributing broadly to the culture of the School of Music.
