San Jose State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing in the Marketing and Business Analytics Department. Ideal candidates will teach AI-based Marketing courses (Marketing Automation, Digital Marketing with AI, AI-Driven Insights) alongside traditional Marketing offerings.

Teaching at undergraduate and Masters level is expected, with research aligned to AI-based marketing.

Qualifications

• Doctorate required by the date of appointment, preferably by May 31, 2027.
• Evidence of teaching excellence or potential.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly publications and a strong scholarly record commensurate with rank.
• Interest in engaging with Silicon Valley professionals and connecting students to the business community.
• Awareness of diverse student population and inclusive teaching.

Responsabilités

• Teach AI-based Marketing courses and traditional Marketing courses at undergraduate and Masters levels.
• Engage in scholarly activities and maintain a research agenda in peer-reviewed journals.
• Participate in shared governance and service assignments.
• Organize classes within Canvas LMS.
• Demonstrate awareness of diverse student needs through inclusive materials and advisement.
